Uncertain Behavioural Adaptations

UNCERTAIN BEHAVIOURAL ADAPTATIONS
Lakshay Raja

The effects of a rigid character development in any fiction are immensely impactful on viewers, primarily for the fact that the concrete personality traits associated with a character leaves a far wider margin for the audience to judge the person in the true sense. Amongst the other tools used to disclose a scene, such as the familiarity with the location, situation or environment, it is astonishing to realise the impact of such rigidity in characters that makes a situation once absolutely unknown, look agreeable enough for the story to immediately proceed.

Any form of story telling is restricted with a time frame, leaving a slight margin for the characters to deviate from the traits assigned. Any major deviation, consequently, demands an explanation, as often seen in  thrillers, where say, an otherwise seemingly rational-minded character necessarily needs to explain his irrational or psychopathic action — for instance, a murder — before the story could end. The need to offer a familiarity with the characters in a limited time thus comes at the price of the characters being bound under their developed traits.

The inability of a person in actuality to adapt to a rigid personality, as often dreamt of after watching a movie or observing its character(s) is for the obvious fact that the life is lived through a dynamic and unprepared environment, unlike the characters, who, for instance, once being introduced are unaffected by the adaptive behaviours of the others around, in terms of the expressions, tone, pronunciation or walk, if not demanded by the story. However insignificant such factors look, they explain the power that an environment holds in breaking the barriers of one’s rigidity.

The impact of mass media and the concreteness in characters that it offers has exceeded to an extent to ironically eliminate the probability of much rigid personalities existing in actuality, —as it seems — with exceedingly influenced, impacted and confused young minds often recognising themselves with an uncertainty; no wonder the ambivert exceeds as a dominant trait. Behavioural adaptations in youth probably have never before been dynamic to an extent that a  merely relatable situation of someone on social media seemingly becomes the base of one’s introspection.

The impact of being recognised with a certainty by the ones around you on the other hand is just as it is on the audience - pleasant, yet powerful; however the personality then be, submissive or overpowering, for it is these certain traits — flashing in the moments shared with the other people — that in true sense define you. What are you being recognised as lately? Is that you?

Collective Intelligence

COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE
(Lakshay Raja)

The transmitting mindsets of realising the modern times purposeless and individual minded might become a justifiable common acceptance unless interrupted by a major event, such as the space colonisation. We were to eventually go untouched by the major wars to set us back to the approach of survival and now that it’s been some considerable decades for such an event, the probability of the next major war should rather be overruled, despite the present chaos. The astonishing population ain’t a curse or a sign of the final years but an assistance in form of the enormous intelligence to set a base to the new beginning. A matter of years that such a civilisation, or intelligence for that matter would fade the beliefs of religion, wars, rituals, principles and fears into blankness they emerged from. Though such a beginning would ask the commitment of a mindset to think and work beyond the limitations of a life span and pass any little contribution of the personal learning and understandings, for science of the untouched phenomenons further might need the collective intelligence in harmony. I see them as the explorers, clueless of the needs of a leader, time frames, sleep and to some extent, human relationships; the minds with the preferences to work, silent admirations, and expressionless love. Though the elements of the past and the present shall stay for the others to explore and live with; for certain elements bind themselves to a certain planet. If the present seems purposeless, stay… stay and observe and work. The correct arrangement of intelligence awaited long for such a time, and you, the odd, could be it’s beginning.

This needs our Attention

She stepped out of the auto and walked away quietly, unbothered to pay; proud of what she wore. The driver shouted behind her to ask for the money, while she dodged the eyes on her and walked. Make her famous.

I clicked her and congratulated for the possibility of her being on Facebook soon and she brushed the thing off, laughing.

"We don't pay," she chuckled. "Police staff... it's not the first time, get it?"

We do not want this to cost her the Job, just in case it gets a glimpse of an authority, though a little discomposure to her principles would do.

What I personally dont understand is the hunger for power and money, and even if there is, why with someone who is not even as fleged as us? We are well aware of the truth that auto drivers and the fruitsellers (and relatable) are IN A NEED of what we have in abundance (dont lie to yourself, you wouldnt die spending a little like 10 fucking bucks more). This is not just about the police not paying for transportation. It is even about us, how we bargain and reduce our costs with someone who needs it more than us. I believe this is cheap of our own selves. And yes, believe me or not. That "poor" guy who agreed on a lesser cost, is in turn richer than you.

And as far as the police is concerned, we need to revolt on this. We need to get this to a stop as soon as possible. And as you think about the police, please, for once, think about yourself too.

A Sellout Well Paid

 A SELLOUT WELL PAID
(Lakshay Raja)

Hold the strings, tied to the mouths of the sick top media house owners and watch the nation dance as you wish to. An uneasy statement to accept, seeing such handwork and their stories of raising these giant media groups, projected repeatedly to hide the filthy game. We don’t question their rise, for the youth has always been more about the change and the right, even for anybody with the blood of a ‘sellout.’

Check the link:

Subhash-Chandra-Bets-On-BJP-Support-For-Rajya-Sabha-Entry

And so it had always been under any little principles we write these articles with and for us to not directly name these misleaders, but then, how does one hold enough, and watch them get the price of the constant biased reporting; blindly followed by the interns and the once ambitious journalists, let alone the impact on a common man.

Yet how do you not challenge your conscience, watching the entire Zee group constantly justifying them being among the few non biased media houses and with absolutely no solid proof anywhere of any paid reporting. It seemed foolish at a point to even imagine the sum, a party would be willing to pay to a media house with an operating profit of four hundred million dollars already. What else could make an entire group bark for a party and lose its audience, if not the money? A promised recommendation for the Rajya Sabha seat by the ruling party? Now we are talking. As if there has ever been any other successor to money but power.

So a little thought after reading the headline, “Subhash-Chandra-Files-Nomination-For-Rajya-Sabha” (With the back of BJP) seemed rather an obvious move for there has never been a finer seat to surrender yourself after the retirement and shut anyone mocking your flop motivational speeches. Are those still on? Unarguably, no channel would dig the meaning out of it, for the bond they owe to each other; and the news would pass, as it would have, had the channel been caught in any paid reporting. Guess who comes to play here?

UEFA Champions League: Fortune Favors the Lucky

Fortune Favours The Lucky

The football season 2015/16 ended last night with Real Madrid's win in the UEFA Champions League, beating city rivals 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw. Real captain Sergio Ramos haunted the Atleti fans again by scoring the opening goal. Right after the 2nd half kicked off, Atleti got a penalty kick. Later, Antoine Griezmann had the chance but the ball hit the post and La Rojiblancos missed a crucial chance.

Atleti’s coach Diego Simeone made a very important and effective substitution which was the turning point of the game as he brought in the Belgian player, Yannick Carrasco, and after this substitution Atleti dominated the game and later went on scoring the equaliser in the 79th minute.

GAME ON!!! Now, Atleti were hunting for the 2nd goal and had an advanced of the two left substitutions whereas Real Madrid had used all three.

After the ninety minutes, even the extra time wasn’t enough to decide the winner and the match went on to the penalties. The defining moment of the match came when Atleti’s Juanfran missed his penalty and got everyone shocked. Guess who came upon to score the final kick for Real Madrid? Cristiano Ronaldo! He came, he saw and scored! It’s over! Real Madrid have won the Champions league for a record 11th time!

The atmosphere at Milan was fixed. Sadness and happiness; it hurt me to see one of my favourite player Fernando Torres crying...

Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos were  awarded ‘The Man of The Match’ titles.

Now, let’s rewind a little and see the ‘Route To Milan’. Atletico, in the Round of 16 faced Dutch Champions PSV, 2 legs of 90 mins wasn’t enough to decide the winner and Atleti won 8-7 on penalties. On the other hand, Real faced Italian team Roma who were having a rather average season, Real beated them 4-0 on aggregated, Quarter finals came and Atleti faced the defending champions and current Spanish champions Barcelona, after losing the controversial first leg 2-1. Atleti won the 2nd leg 2-0 and went on to the semi's. Real faced Wolfsburg who were not so great this time but the ‘Wolves’ won 2-0 against Madrid thinking of having the upper hand in the 2nd leg, remember that 90 mins at Bernanbeu are very long, a hattrick from Cristiano Ronaldo was enough to send Real into the semi-finals, the draws were made, Atleti faced the mighty German Champions Bayern Munich and Real faced Manchester City, a team which played their 1st ever semifinal and was battling for the 4th place in the EPL. The 1st leg at Calderon Saul scored a marvellous solo run goal for the 1-0 victory and lost with 2-1 at Allianz Arena In Munich, keeper Jan Oblak saved Thomas Muller’s penalty and Atleti went on with the goals. Now, on the other side 0-0 at Etihad. No Ronaldo, at Madrid a deflected own-goal from Fernando (cross from Gareth Bale) was the only goal of the game and Real were in the finals and again Madrid Derby.

It was heart breaking  to see Simeone’s soldier to lose as such, they beat 2 of the best teams in the world to reach so far and with such limited funds. No Hate on Madrid, Zinedine Zidane really improved Madrid from Rafa Benitez’s nightmare spell and he became the 7th person to win UCL both as a coach and player.

The Football Fiesta’s isn’t over peeps, the Euros in France , Copa America in The US and Olympic football in Brazil are coming up to hold up our breaths this summer! Stay tunes!

WWDC 2016

The WWDC is just around the corner and Apple is expected to release a couple of updates and announcements this year. WWDC for those of you who don’t know is a annual Worldwide Developers Conference held by Apple in San Francisco, California. This year conference will be held June 13–17.

So, what can we expect from this event?

Macbook Lineup

Macbook fans were not able to see the upcoming models of the MacBook lineup during the company's spring event in March, as they are long overdue but they are keeping their hopes up with this event.

Rumours suggest that the New Macbook lineup 2016 will have a design refresh that could potentially include Touch Id integration, reduced bezels and OLED touch bar. It is most certain that the lineup will now include screen size of 14-inch and 16-inch display in the same form factor basically by reducing bezels and and these will be powered by the latest Intel Skylake processors.

iOS 10

Apple is most likely to unveil iOS10 at this event. Reports suggest that Apple Pay could be in for an update, with a new person-to-person payment feature. The update may also include Apple pay support for web browsers which would allow Apple pay to make purchases through web browsers.

And it is almost certain that iOS10 would include a Siri SDK to allow developers to build Siri support into their apps. More 3-D touch integration throughout the entire OS could be seen.

Mac OS

Rumour has it that Apple will be changing the name of its desktop OS to fit with other platforms like iOS,tvOS. Rumours also claim that biggest update will include integration of Siri on MacOS.

Siri may be accessible using an icon in the Menu bar or an app icon. Potentially Siri would be able to open apps, tweak system settings, answer user’s queries and much more. And the update in photos app could also be seen.

Apple TV improvements

Apple has long been rumored to be working on a streaming TV service to take on Netflix although it’s pretty unlikely. As far as improvements go, it's possible Apple could further open up Apple TV to developers by allowing more gaming options.

Currently all Apple TV games are required to support the Siri Remote, which limits what game makers can do. It’s possible that Apple could allow game developers to make cambs that require a control pad. This would allow for much more feature-rich, console-level games. Seems interesting, huh?

Have any news about the conference? Share it with us.

Before you step in...

I remember passing through the same dates 2 years back with the same amount of consent for things I were about to indulge myself in. Sure, we have been told since the beginning of our existence that we were born to choose either of the two “professions” and everything else you did was a hobby.

I’m going to progress this one a little slow, so you understand exactly and every inch of what I intend to explain to you, please have a little patience.

We start off with absolutely nothing in our hands or minds, absolutely nothing, no doubt on that. And as we begin to know things, what they are, how many of them are there, and what exactly is it that absolutely astounds us with the blink of an eye. We keep advancing. If there is something we cannot change, is “change” itself and the sooner we realize it, the better for ourselves.

As we grow, apart from our skills and everything around the world, existent or not, we develop. We sense ourselves into what and who we are, and with time, who we want to be. Apparently, there are things, in which we discover a part of ourselves who is not as developed as it ought to be and it somehow attracts us, so deep within, that we are literally able to find a whole new “me” in it.
Let’s say, you’re 14 so far. And in about 3 years from now, or maybe 2, you will be in the same scenario I was two years ago, or say, where most of the students are right now. As much as we are told, this is the “time that is going to build or destroy” or say, “decide for the rest of your lives”. This is given the importance of a lifetime, can you believe it? It’s been just 17 years you had been in this world, and YOU are about to judge and choose for the rest of your life! ---Lie number one.

Most of us, irrespective of what we found ourselves within, are either forced or just get-into-it-coz-why-not? Some try to get it clean, try to save themselves from being judged and be decided for. Apparently, the best of the choices of what we call “life” is either being an Engineer, or a doctor. So, a 16/17 years old is being told that THIS is the only thing you can do to “survive” in this world. Or let me frame a more common statement: “I always wished to see my child as a doctor/an engineer”. Well, this is being told to a 16 years old. Who barely knows what exactly even the purpose of life is. Behold the purpose, even the meaning is still unknown. ---Lie number two.

I have been told that I am lucky, for at least I know what I want to do with my life, unlike majority of the lives. What we fail to understand is that we need to be with the time. If there is something that they have always been positive about is “saving time”. Time is the best gift of the universe, reader. And it is more important than anything, absolutely anything else in the world. But then, poor you. Your caretakers think they know what the best is for you. They are not wrong, trust me. They have had an experience of almost a lifetime.

But then, I wish for your parents to read this as well. Sir/ma’am, when you were 16 years old, did you know EXACTLY what you wanted to do with your life? Were you asked for what you had to do with your life? Right now, you have a child to take care of, do you think he knows what makes him happy?

The truth about this life is, it is not harsh at all. It is beautiful. It is as beautiful as YOU make it to be. Who does not have issues? My cover is that IF there is something that makes you see the beauty of this world. If there is something that you believe, can get you to make the people see the beauty of this life, you do not have to wait for it.

We are not even allowed to go out in the nights, called back before the sun sets down and the next thing you know, you are up for being a machine. Because all they ever knew was one way to “survive”. Entrance exams literally defining your life! Read this statement again and you will realize how much of a joke you are about to make of your life.

Dear student of 12th standard, you did not come to this world to survive. YOU CAME TO THIS WORLD TO LIVE. And just to make myself clear, your people want you to be happy, and the reason they think you will be happy with a degree, is because they see it as the only way out. But if you know an alternate reality, let them know before you step into something as real as of a lie it is.
Go around the internet, and you will find people who are engineers or doctors and all frustrated with the life they have. Or let me give you the best example, your own teachers. You know what I’m talking about, and you know how true it is. Facebook pages that tell us about how much of a shit these “degrees” are. The joke it actually on them. Idiots don’t even know what to do with their lives and in turn, they think they are not at fault.

I am an artist at heart, just like an engineer or a doctor. I wish to save lives, and make things for people too, just in a way that is a little different than how a doctor or an engineer would. Does that make me a bitter truth? Or a bad child? Or say, like I was told in the classroom, “the lowest someone could be”. Only because I find my reality in art, does it make me not worth living? Or in any case, wrong?

Dear parent, I don’t know how you don’t realize “life” the way you should (I must say nothing, I am yet too small to be in your place). Stop telling your child to do something after a degree of something he does not find himself within. Four years of manifestation and carving of an engineer, if put into 4 years of dedication and work of what we really want to be is going to give us, as well as yourselves the happiness of a lifetime.

People are going to say what they want to say, trust me. They were born with no aim, they killed the real child they had when he was in the same position as you are. They are always going to try to kill you too because they are already dead. And never have I ever heard of a dead body that understands “life”.

Two years back, I wanted to be an audio engineer, but I was not so sure about it (my fault), so like anyone else, I admitted myself into an engineering program. And believe me reader that was one of the best things that happened to me. After a semester of studies, I was all ready and set with what I wanted to do, and no, one semester is not late, not even a bit. Everyone around me knew about it, so did I. I knew exactly what one year of an audio focus would make me rather than 4 years of something I never want to see myself with. My peeps know about what I want to do with my life. I am told every day that music is a ‘hobby’ and I must take it as a hobby and just complete these 4 years of nothing then do whatever the hell it is that I want to do. And that I had no idea about life, and I was more wrong than anyone else could ever be. ----Lie number three and the worst of all.

To everyone, music, sir/ma’am is not a hobby. I don’t care if you fail to realize, it is not my fault. It is a way of life. It is who we are. If you are an artist, if you have a whole new kind of a world inside yourself, if you have a million other eyes to look at the world with, you are not stupid. And no, you don’t need to wait for 4 fucking years to be who you are. Fuck the society, fuck the world. Did you think about the society when you were in the bedroom? Or better off. I think the society produces your babies. Or pays their fees and bills. Right?

Its 3rd year of the same degree I enrolled myself with, the artist is not dead yet, will never die. I made a mistake of not being able to look at what was happening to me. I kicked myself out of my life for a whole four years. And I must admit, I am literally wasting time. But more important than that. Even if I don’t like it as much, I am into something beautiful. Craft, my friend is another word for engineering and so is art, another word for everything we do.

The only con is that instead of tomorrow, I will be recognized as an artist after a few years. I made a mistake for not knowing what I wanted to do, soon enough. So, if you’re about to apply for a college, just like anyone else, please, if not for yourself, for your people, ask yourself what you really want to be. Make sure of who you are. Work in that direction, focus yourself and don’t look back. It is not a hobby my friend, you will lose yourself in the making. And you can save yourself from going crazy, by being crazy. Life is as beautiful as you make it to be, and no. you don’t need to be an engineer to do that.

How TATA Managed Messi

HOW TATA MANAGED MESSI
(Chitvan)

India’s leading car manufacturer TATA has recently come up with its new launch Tiago. With the new segment in the market, TATA has smartly placed Tiago between hatch back and sedan.

The basic model of the car costs around 3.2 lakhs so the target is quite clear. From inside, you will feel a whole new from Tata.

Well we all have seen the commercial from Tata and the big question that has been rumouring around is that how Tata could managed Messi as the brand ambassador for its entry level car where as the previous launch by Tata (Tata bolt) which was of higher price than its new launch had no face.

Tata expects a huge success from the new launch and so the car has been associated with the famous soccer player Messi. Somehow they have managed to achieve the success by receiving more than a hundred thousand booking already in such a short period of time.

Earlier, the car was named ZICA but for it being somewhat a homonyms to rica virus which spread epidemic throughout the world, the company was forced a change. This also provided half the publicity to the car and hence Tata decided a public voting for the the change in name.

Results were out and not so surprisingly, the car was named after the son of the famous soccer player Lionel Andrés Messi and the big player’s family association got him to sign the deal at fifty percent of the actual fee. A big fish in a lost net, we’d say, it’s fantastico for the company.

Android N: Top Features(with images)

Android N: Top Features

Google surprised everyone with the early release of Android N developer’s preview when Android M was released only six months prior to this update. Now android N does not have a name yet but google is letting the users decide the name. You can help Google choose the new Android N name here. Just enter your suggestion and hit Submit.

So here are the top Android N (developer edition) features:

Redesigned Notifications

The notification part has been completely overhauled in Android N. Now notifications efficiently takes up full width of the screen making it visually appealing. Not only that notifications are more functional too for example now they can be stacked as per application and now it is possible to respond to messages directly from the notifications.

Split Screen support

This is the feature we have all seen in iOS or even skins of android but it’s pretty neat to have this feature built-in to the OS. This feature can be activated within any open application by pressing down the phone’s Overview button, from there you can select the second app you want to have on-screen and customize display using an on-screen slider.

Settings Menu

Settings menu went through some visual changes. The first thing users will notice is that there are now suggestions for things you may not have done with your phone yet at the top, like set up email accounts or voice commands. Each option on the list also offers some useful information, so you can check your storage capacity, your current Wi-Fi network, your data usage etc. right from the menu.

Instant Apps

Google introduced the idea of Instant Apps, which will enable users to test an app without downloading or purchasing it. Instant Apps could help bridge the gap between mobile apps and web apps by enabling you to use native apps almost instantly just by tapping a URL. With Instant Apps, developers will need to partition their apps into small parts that can start within a few seconds that will make the experience of using new apps as seamless as possible. However, it might take some time before you see Instant Apps in the wild.

Doze Mode

If you don’t know yet, doze is a battery saving setting that halts background computing that kicks in when your phone is not in use and sitting still. Android N brings further improvements including Doze on the Go, which will offer the benefits of Doze anytime the screen is off, not just when the phone is motionless.

Other features

Android N will bring support for Unicode 9, which among other things will see the introduction of 72 new emoji’s! There are also a ton of themes for the stock Google keyboard. You can choose various colors, or even set a photo as a backdrop.

Since the beginning of their time, this company never fails to amaze me with what they do. I must say, they are more of an inspiration that anything else.

But what about you? Do you think Android N is going to be a huge release for google as well? Tell us in the comments below...

MarkSheet

Marksheet
(Arsh Bhatt)

Scored less marks? Don’t worry. You have your whole life ahead

Well, as a parent, how often did you use these astonishing words for your child? The season of exams has finally come to an end and even the results have been declared. This time period is marked as the time of highest tension in a student’s life. The question is...WHY? What makes these sheets of paper frighten your child? What powers do these papers possess that they force children to end their lives? Well, it’s not these sheets but us.

US...the society/parents.

SOCIETY. “What would people think if you score less marks? Dad working on such a high post and his child is a failure?” “Look at Mr. Sharma’s son. He scored 90%. If he can, then why not you?” “What are you going to do in your life if you can’t score well in your exams?”

These are the remarks that we often use for our children when they fail to level up our overwhelming expectations. Expectations set on the grounds of social status. Mr Sharma’s son has scored 90% but their surely are many abilities in your child which are missing in Mr Sharma’s son. Every fruit has its own flavor. Your child not being able to score good in exams doesn’t mean he isn’t capable of becoming a successful person in life because in the practical world, it’s not these marks but other essential attributes that are going to lead him on the path of success.

Yes, it’s the student’s fault for not scoring up to the mark but what we, as parents fail to realize is that a mark sheet can not depict our child’s abilities. We are so much concerned about the society questioning our child’s abilities based on some stupid marks that we fail to support our children when they need us the most. We, being the supporting pillars of their life fail to understand our role in such conditions.

Do you want your children to be defined by their marks? Are these marks going to have any effect on the hard work they are capable of doing in their future life? Why do we fail to teach them the most important lesson of life that it’s okay to make mistakes? If you are not making any mistakes, you aren’t learning anything. It is okay to fail because the best teacher a student can have is; his last failure.

So, what’s better? A slap on your child’s cheek or a pat on the back assuring your support?

Just give this a thought whenever you’re holding up your child’s mark sheet in your hands.
Don’t let these mathematical figures limit your child’s horizons because your child is much more than a mark sheet. Just make the right choice and see your ward doing wonders for himself and the world and making you proud.

Dear Dreamer...

Dear Dreamer...
(Chetna Vatts)

Dear dreamer,

The night has changed, the moon that was in motion a few days back, delivered a hurricane in the sea. The storm is at its best till now and is supposed to last few more days leaving the life, in doldrums. Saplings, around the shores have merged with the land caving in life, but the trees, they are still fighting hard to see the radiating sun in a beautiful painted sky of tomorrow; you, my love are the tree that's standing erect fighting with a wish to win, to take a step ahead in future and not the saplings that gave up ghosts watching a hurricane that was powerful.

Remember that the life will make you slump in the journey you're in, but to give up on your dreams will always be a choice.

Life may not be a bed of roses at present but it was, once and will persist to be in the near future, if only you walk out of the cyclone of emotions and the turbulence overpowering you today.

The fact that I love you from the depth of everything is crystal clear but there lies another fact: YOUR DREAM. I know that more than you need me today, you need the dream because that's something which has been injecting strength in you more than I ever did.

I can watch the sky giving up on its beautiful stars and the moon. I can bear the agony of being separated from warmth of your skin but I cannot see you giving up on the life you always wanted, the dream that means so much to you. That would be something like watching your favorite star breaking up in mesmerizing sky of a cold winter night. You can neither do anything to mend nor you're the reason, but it pains your heart to an extent that you feel your veins bursting, your heartbeats going slow to stop in at any moment.

Remember, the sorrows of your life are like the impressions of your feet after bathing. At first they're bright and clear to see but they become vague with each step you take ahead and there will be a point of no impression. It's not that you lack your foot to leave behind the impression but it's the water (your feelings attached to sorrows) that’s absent now.

I wish to see you someday with your capabilities grown up every inch without an iota of fear or suppression, with the dreamer in you still alive telling me it has many more dreams to achieve.

With lots of love and trust,
Your soul.

Aesthetically Ours

Does it amaze you? What this mind does to and for us? How we know, but  fail to realise that everything about me or you, is everything BUT me and you. How everything we know is happening around us, but just doesn't affect us because we don't really focus? We, the conscious. And the consciousness. How everything is in such a harmony with everything else. How we. You and I. Have the power to be aware of the fact that everything is happening at once, yet we can relate to just one thing at a time(say), despite being aware of the millions of other actions happening around us.
And the answer was known but just to reach that answer, I borrowed a lot many mind blowing thoughts (I seemed to me moved by my own thoughts lately)

How conscious are we? I happened to be sitting on one of the top berths of the train when this thought popped up in my head. And after a little spark, I had this urge to write it down. Thankfully, I had papers but no pen. Which eventually led me to take off my headphones after removing my hoodie and solving up my hair. And I asked someone seated on the bottom berth if they had a pen. When she replied with a "wait. Let me check if I might be having one" and within some time the lady on the upper berth, parallel to me, offered me hers. And just as soon as that happened, the first lady found a pen and gave it to me as well. When I started writing about what I was struck by; you must be wondering why am I telling you every inch of the happening? Enough said already. You could've just said someone gave you a pen.

But did I tell you about the guy that looked at me, apart from the ones I asked the favor from? Or the lady that was consistently watching this all happen? Or the guy sitting on the lower berth as well, watching a movie and somehow trying to figure out what's going on as well? Or the kid that was crying while his dad was putting his shoes on?

Well to be honest, this is what struck me even harder. Between the time that I asked for the pen and received it, my focus was entirely on the pen. And the thoughts I would have possibly induced in their heads with that request. What amazed me was that despite all this, my attention shifted from the person to the other person; to the music that was playing in my headphones; to the fact that I now had a pen held in my hand. Well, I knew, but didn't know about anything that was happening. Nothing at all. But as I recalled it, I realized about everyone and everything that I was unconsciously aware of, but now I knew it had happened. And of course I realized I was breathing (look, I found it fascinating at that time; Give me a break). So, despite our everything, we never think of breathing. We never really remind ourselves to breathe.

Isn't that amazing?

Isn't that a beautiful, beautiful harmony? A song we knew but were not aware that we were constantly singing? So what exactly is it that we are fighting for? Why do we fail to realize that everything that we do, everything that we have been and all that we are, is nothing about what you or I did. Nothing at all is ever someone's. Just for once take my own example. I stepped into the train and looked at the people as I wondered what they might be thinking. While I was thinking what they might be thinking, I thought of a cause for how I was thinking about them, which ultimately made me think of a consciousness that exists for all of us. So, unlike I said earlier, these are not my thoughts. These were never in my head until I saw the people. And never would have I ever been able to write it down unless someone let me have their pen (my cell was dead. God c’mon! Give me a damn break!). And what are the odds that someone else could have been at their place and I might have never been able to realize it?

Against FGM

FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION
(Sonali Bhatia)

How eerie it could be to even imagine someone being rubbed by the red chilli powder on a severe wound, let alone to feel it. In my part of the world, around two hundred million women bear the same extent of pain in a very tender age; the practice referred as FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION (FGM) and spread in the regions of Africa, Middle East and the Indian sub continent (with Somalia’s affected rate of around 98%).

As defined by WHO, FGM is a procedure, comprising, the removal of genitalia or other female organs for non medical reasons; partially or fully. Long FGM, called ‘Katana’ or ‘Boras’ in India was a well kept secret, a taboo, never talked of until 2012, when WHO unanimously began to work for its elimination from the local minds. Though four years later, there still hasn’t been any law to stop the practice.

The process takes around four to five minutes, while the girl bears the horrific pain; the mere motive being, the removal of ‘unwanted skin’ and as the Bohra community reason it, ‘the source of sin’.

Torturing and denying the emotion of love and the right over your desires and justifying with a term of ‘the source of sin’ beams the trait of a sick society with its shabby minds and shallow conscience.

A Confession

A CONFESSION
(Anonymous)

Everything had been going on real fine until I had not had any wisdom and a desperate ambition to be a writer. I was a fool, have always been in fact as far as I remember, or I’ve always imagined myself to be, for when I remember partially of the things I did or said since the day I’ve had the consciousness to up till some months before, I conclude everything of my life to be the script of a douche.

Yet I was satisfied over the parameter of my happiness in my state of mind. And as I’ve learned over the past few months, I would love to get back to that state for anything. Isn’t that all what matters? To be convinced of living a fine life, however ambition less and simple it be. Easy to compare it with the day of a cat owner. Like, I had been brilliant in convincing myself of my fine days and a great future, just as the cat owners do, convincing themselves continuously that their pet loves them and puts in as much effort to the animal-human relationship as they do. Imagining their dear cat behaving, some day like an ideal cat - that is, the dog to be precise. Though the reality is clear and on the face, the affection for the cat never dies, the fine state of mind plays well. The publishing of my book, the effort to it are never gonna change. If only my state of mind had not had any change either. For the ambition has his own taste as it looks a dream.

Though the wisdom does hit at some point, and as it does, your mere hobby and your little talent become the protagonist of the life ahead. However classy an unsecured future may sound, it brings with it, a load to throw you into the deep corners.

Your triumph as you see little minds struggling to run for the cookie of the settled tomorrow fades as your reality presents the possible glimpse of your future. The way had always been clear for you. It has been, somewhat now as well, but then, going back to the path of your patents’ ambition would be like, asking to quit all the addictions together overnight.

A magician dreams easy of being the best in the entire nation until the thought doesn’t pass of him being merely the best at present in a street with no magicians. You see, put your odds of the entire life over one thing, not the romance, not the civility, anything - to end up being the best at it among the little rats? That would be like the appreciation after speaking some primary Chinese words among a few Americans and presenting yourself as a translator. Somewhere, a genius awaits with the grades of your limits.

Possibilities Across

POSSIBILITIES ACROSS
(Dinker Gulati)

We, as human beings have several ways to interpret what life is. One might look at it as a series of junctions. These junctions represent our choices in life which lead us to our “destiny”. These junctions are the choices and decisions we have to make in our lives from time to time and on some scale we face these junctions quite often in our days; whether big or small. The turns we make at these very junctions decide our future lives, they take us one step closer to our aims and these choices are the jury and director of what we are going to become ultimately-both personally and professionally. We are ultimately manifestation of our choices. So life is easy right? Just make all the right turns. The only problem is that we can’t foresee the consequences of our actions most of the time. The junctions are full of fog and mist. It turns out to be a betting game. You have to take a judgment call and at these moments we begin to think, "What if I made a wrong turn? What if I took a wrong decision? I might not end up where I want to be?" The thought scares us, after all one can potentially “ruin” their chance at glory unknowingly with just one naive mistake…But thats the very limitation of our mental scope.

Our ideal goals and dreams are static. The paranoia on the cross-roads forbids us from the realisation of the fact that wherever we turn, whatever we do, wherever we go, our choices are the ones that make of who we are; be it the “right” ones or the “wrong” ones. I’ll go as far and say that there are no “wrong” turns; just our choices and at the end of the day they lead us to what we are meant to be rather than what we think we should be. Our every “mistake” leads us to our true destiny and whatever we do, we will eventually get there.

Worthless Events

WORTHLESS EVENTS
(Anonymous)

The past few months projected the nation back on the tracks of what it has been known since, what, forever? The diversity and politics that masks itself as the primary attraction to the world, a face that bears that tag of world’s biggest and yet a stable democracy. Not much of a surprise to face the international embarrassment with such events rising together, the primary ones being the JNU’s ‘politics-is-love-politics-is-life’ next generation and the super needy Jaat hyper babies.

I see some fine talent in framing something out of a bullshit JNU event and to call it a milestone in the youth politics. Down to the roots of the event, what did the nation get with such a chaos, as to even fill the prime times of some respectable (so called, of course) channels? Except for the rise of a new ‘Patel’ of the north or precisely, a very own future ‘LEFT’ party in the north. Though it does raise some curiosity on how the things centre themselves on finding the activists a place in parties and eventually pop the purpose up as the years pass.

Been twenty minutes already to mention ‘Jaat hyper babies’ and I see peace around. Surely a bigger milestone than the event itself.
